Poems

Earth is our Beautiful Home

Holds us like a mother

Natures us with care

Provides us with matter

Breaths into us the air

             Trees that grow tall

             Flowers big and small

             Lovely birds that sing

             Fit for a king

Ocean deep and blue

Fishes that give no clue

Clouds floating high

Like sheep gracing in skies

              Deserts that are dry

              Where every creature tumbles by

              Rivers filled with water

              Giving life to passers by

Snow white and beautiful

Makes us happy and cheerful

O earth our planet

You provide and protect

             I love my planet earth

            Only place where life thrives

            Like mother with care

            O beauty ever new.

Mother Earth

We are embraced by our sweet home

Which we called it our common home

Our home so warm our home so wide

Embracing all throughout  world wide

Its special gift to all of us

Given freely from up above.

We’re blessed to be under her care

All that we get be it food or air

Anytime we ask and turn to her

Freely she give to her children dear

Though she provides us what we need

Ungrateful we are and full of greed.

She sacrifice herself for us

That we may not hunger or thirst

She treats everyone equally

Hindus, Muslims or Christianity

In her there’s no partiality

To everyone she gives joyfully.

We are called to be co-creators

Not just only consumers

We need to care and nurture her

For she is like our own mother

The sacrifice for us she make

Let’s thank her and not make mistakes.

Tears rolling down from mother’s cheek

Painful to see the human’s greed

From dawn to dusk we depend on her

For food, clothing, water and shelter

Can we imagine without her

For a second, minute or an hour.

From birth to death we depend on you

Our love and sincere thanks to you

We’ll do our best all that we can

Protect you from all harm

Our only wish and prayer today

May mother earth evergreen stay.
